Since no one else has chimed in, here a few ideas that popped to mind. You may have already tried these.
Is the troublesome Nook tablet in airplane mode? Is the app updated to the latest version? Perhaps the other two devices auto-updated, and this one didn't.
Has Barnes & Noble forced you to update your password lately? Seems to happen to me a couple times a year. Once, it caused a hiccup with syncing on my e-ink Nook and I had to sign out of my account and sign back in to get things working correctly again.
If those ideas don't work, I'd suggest clearing the app cache, and if that doesn't get the book to download, then uninstall and reinstall the app.
