Seconding the Ilona Andrews books, Kate Daniels series. I'm a fan of early LKH and rather enjoy Kate Daniels.
The others - I follow many of these series but have to say I didn't stumble upon Ilona Andrews (husband & wife team) until this week and stayed up way too late reading the three which are currently out.
You might also be interested in the Dante Valentine series by Lilith Saintcrow.
