It does conversion (well, depending on the format) and library management (very poorly). It reminds me of iTunes which was also very bad and bloated software.

Lack of other, free or affordable or ? options???? That's always been my view. People will recommend a lousy but free product unto death, rather than suggest that spending a few bucks might have value instead.
