A protein shake.
Four years ago my New Year's resolution was to improve my diet, lose weight, and exercise on a regular basis. I got off to a slow and inconsistent start, but I've kept up with it.* I took a week off from my exercise routine due to being under the weather, but I finally had to admit today that I'm feeling much better and it's time to get back into the routine. I just finished a short session on the home gym in the basement and it's time to "celebrate" with a vanilla protein shake.
* Since starting in 2019 I've lost about 25 pounds (I still have more to go) and each annual physical exam has shown improvement over the last. But I still hate to exercise and I have to drag myself downstairs to the exercise corner, kicking and screaming the whole way.
