Yes, I have tried converting the ebook multiple ways, but it didn't help besides looking at the first few pages.

My last option is to try removing a few pages, and splitting the book into multiple parts. Though I imagine splitting wouldn't help, because with that little ram, it has to unload the current page, and load the next one before doing anything, it's also slow, which makes me believe the same thing.
Then convert to txt and use like that (or first convert to txt and then convert to ePub). This should remove the heavy layouts. Alternatively, convert to images and use the image view folder if that works. If the device can't handle one of that it's time to give up.
