Anonymous content-server and add books via CLI

Hi guys - Hope everyones good...

TL;DR: I want to keep my content-server with no-auth and want to be able to run scripts to add books via the CLI, but i need to have auth enabled to use the CLI to make changes to the library. How do i fix this?

The content-server is served locally with no auth which i've done on purpose as it's main use it to get books onto a kindle via the experimental web-browser and so not having to put in a ridiculously long password on a kindle is the goal.

However, i want a script to monitor multiple watch folders and upload and add books automatically, however the 'calibredb add' command always throws 'forbidden' unless i have auth enabled.

Is it possible to keep my no-auth content server and simply use an auth account to make changes to the library via the CLI. (eg. when adding a book etc.) And if not, why not?
