Post fire 7 9th gen battery life

so I had a prior fire 7 which was 16GB, then I trade it in for 32GB of same generation, and I noticed that the battery on here is worse, I had it for about a year now and it drains quickly, is it because the storage is bigger?

or is it a coincidence because i use this fire 7 as an e-reader more than kindle i recently got because i like the books syncing. the other fire i had would literally be on 11% for 20 minutes straight w/ wifi while i used it, this one i pick up a couple hours later it went from 93% to 56% then to 11%.

does it need battey replacement?
