Hi

My elderly Kindle recently died and I have just replaced it with a second hand Kobo Touch. The Touch says it's software is up todate at version 4.38.21908 (fac580f37d, 8/22/23).

Before my purchase I did a bit of research and read that with the recent software updates Kobo have introduced, you can now download your own books which was what I like to do at times with my library ebooks.I was hoping that with the Kobo Android app on my phone I could sync between the two devices so I can read on my mobile at times.

However although I can sync ebooks bought from the Kobo shop, I can't seem to sync downloaded books. Are Kobo ereaders like Kindles used to be in that you can only sychcronise books obtained from Kobo direct?

Thanks for any advice or possible workarounds.
