First post here, although I've lurked the forums for a while now.
I'd just like to say that epub is an awful format, and I cannot believe InDesign is still this bad as an authoring tool. I have been designing print books for almost a decade now, but learning how to make epubs has driven me to the brink of madness several times over the past couple of years. Why does it have to be this difficult?
I've been reading the documentation of the blitz ebook project, and from what little I could understand, authoring CSS that's compatible with most reading systems is incredibly difficult and requires years of dedicated research. That's insane. And I don't even understand how to use the tools they developed because the documentation is way too technical for me to understand. That goes for a lot of epub resources.
Lastly, thank you to all the users on here who answer questions. I've gotten a lot of help from reading old threads here.
