The Voyage is famous for having a "best screen", though I've never seen it.
Try cleaning with tooth paste (not gel or powder) or car paint scuff remover in case it's on the the surface, such as droppings from small spiders.
I've never seen an eink screen like thatb and I have seen very many Kindles and other ereaders.
