Problem: When using "Set Reader Font", the Get Configuration from Device button failed with a complaint about being unable to read the settings file.
Solution: Go to DeviceRoot\.kobo\Kobo\Kobo eReader.conf and open it in a text editor. Then look closer at the error message.
In my case, there was apparently a duplicated LastLibrarySubFilter entry, so I just deleted all of those under [ApplicationPreferences] and that fixed it.
