That's what I thought, but I'll see what this global setting does. It certainly wasn't there before when I turned off "one click" before for web browser. Supposedly disables it for all apps and devices. I always thought it crazy you couldn't turn off purchases on the Kindle.

I once had an ebook payment fail in the days when you could pick download at purchase time. Naturally I couldn't buy anything till it was sorted. I've had payments fail on parts of physical orders (higher value items) in the last year and simply going to order and "pay" fixed it.
