For years now there's talk about a remake/reboot of the original movie. Luke Evans and Jason Momoa were set as main characters at different times. But all attempts fell through. Now they're making another attempt with Bill Skarsgard as The Crow.

But one of the big shots behind the new movie is already talking about making it "a universe" and franchise. Why does everything need to be a franchise/universe? Since there are already 4 movies and a tv series it is already that. I don't mind a new movie. I do hope it'll be a reboot instead of remake of the first movie, not with Eric Draven but a new Crow.
Because they want the highest-possible return on their monies and just like tv serials, people SAY that they want something new--but in fact, they don't. They want the same characters, same locales, same general plotlines (locked-room mysteries, n'est ca pas, Death in Paradise?), but with just enough variety so that they are not actually watching the exact same show over and over and over each week/night/binge/whatevs.

I mean, lord love a duck, look at all of us, paying like little monkeys with pocketbooks to watch RERUNS, for crying out loud. I embarrass myself to think about it. Some reruns from literally 60 years ago or more! (Yes, yes, that's me and my boy Perry...)

Finished up season five of Virgin River. Don't judge me. It brings back Hart of Dixie vibes.
Uh..this is what and where? is that a Netflix thing? And it was something/somewhere else? That Dixie thing, is that a Hallmark show? Or...?
