^^I can only add that with the new owner willing to get rid of the stuff (which is a huge added payment) so that you wouldn't be leaving your parents with an insoluble problem AND your having a bolt hole for yourself at your sister's, it's time. Just go. You'd be doing your parents a favor in the not so long run, too. They'll be saving all that money in storage (and paying you) and they won't be living on a trash heap in their new home.
A favorite line from a kid's book, believe it or not: "Martyrs should be boiled in oil." Said by a devout Catholic, too.
