Unhappy Amazon has updated the support policy for Kindle E-readers.

According to the updated page from Amazon,https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...3LDHSB5YM9BYF7
Amazon promises that “Your Kindle E-reader receives guaranteed software security updates until at least four years after the device is last available for purchase on our websites.”.
We are not sure if this means that the security updates will be calculated for four years starting the day after the device's last available purchase date. From the table provided by Amazon, even the most recently updated devices are still marked for 2026.
This might suggest that a new device is about to be released, or the software support duration for Kindle has been shortened. Perhaps more information will be disclosed in the future.
As a Kindle Scribe user, it's disheartening to think that support might end in 2026, especially when it seems features like exporting, syncing, and managing handwritten notes haven't been fully developed yet.
