Why Wkipedia search does not querry the actual language list of any given article?

When switchin between languages it performs sort of a fuzzy search, and more often than not it returns just total nonsense. The only situation when it actually works is when you switch between proper names. I use Wikipedia as a kind of dictionary for more technical terms, and it works quite well in that respect, would it be impossible to make it more specfic?
