After restarting but before running the test, please try checking the Sigil -> About menu and make sure it shows the following:

Version: 2.0.1
Loaded Qt: 6.5.2
Build time: 2023.08.29 14:20:26 UTC

Especially check the build time to rule out mistakenly running some other version of Sigil.

Also, please try with both Sigil-1.9.30 running and Sigil 2.0.1 for x86_64 running under Rosetta. Does they both also crash?

And have you by chance enabled any of the macOS Accessibility features on your machine or are using Voice Over or a thrid party system tray app that employs the mac Accessibility features to grow font size, change window sizes, zoom in, etc?

Perhaps you are tickling a different QAccessibility bug than what Qt just fixed?
