That was what I worry about indeed. I hoped KOReader would replace the Kindle software so no tracking could be sent but I understand that's not the purpose of KOReader. Keeping my Kindle offline will be the only workaround then.
About the authors not getting paid. If I buy an ebook from my local bookshop and read it on my Kindle the author did get paid I hope? Maybe there is some agreement where certain authors get paid per page I read or something?
