You can enable screen capture on the Kobo in the configuration file. Then the power button does it. The resulting image files can be copied via USB. It might be full true color RGB rather than the 16 level monochrome that's displayed.
I seem to remember the Kindle had such a thing too.
Actual VNC style live (via WiFi or USB Networking) image transmission might be possible on a Kobo via user added program.
Note: only sharing a copyright ebook with others would be illegal. Simpler to have a camera and automated page turner to manage any ereader. Been demoed with a Lego Mindstorms robot to turn Kindle pages.
