So I've got a pretty big library (~20000 files, 150GB) on my desktop that I'd like to copy to my laptop, which has an SSD that's only about 300 GB. I tried using Calibre's export functionality to create about 150 1GB files which I then transferred to my laptop with a 30 GB thumb drive I've got. When I tried importing them in my laptop's Calibre installation, it tried to make copies of everything and so I quickly ran out of disk space.

Is there a way I can still use the exported files to rebuild the library on my laptop without having to make a separate copy? How would you suggest I transfer my library? Ideally I'd like to avoid manually copying the library folder. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
