Kindle Error Message

To give some background, I recently bought a New Kindle Signature and joined Kindle Unlimited in Amazon. Both were working fine foe several months, until now I have trouble when opening any of the 20 books book in the Kindle. I get this error message:
"An error occurred. If you purchased this item from Amazon, delete the item and download it from the Cloud." It comes up with any book that I was reading. I also have the Kindle Reader App installed on my Desktop, and I can read any of the books using it without any problem? I believe reading online in the App is viewing books from the Kindle Cloud?
I am not deleting any books until I learn more about why the error comes up when opening the book in the Kindle. I have tried to post my problem in the Amazon Kindle Forum without any solution, so I am reaching out to you. I appreciate help from anyone,, jamesemu
