Looking at some cross stitched kits. And wishing each kit came with a (QR) code to download the pattern in PDF.

I prefer a digital pattern, which I can load in an app and mark off my stitches as I go along. Instead of working with a big paper pattern, magnet board and markers. Now I have the patterns scanned at the copy shop. Which isn't that expensive, but I need to make time for it and the scan is never as clear as an original digital file.

Also most kits use embroidery floss made by DMC in their kits, but they never list the colour numbers. In theory they provide enough floss for the project and some extra just in case. But things happen. Sure, you can contact the manufacturer, but not all are willing to give out the colour numbers. Also having the colour numbers means I can enter them in my app and have it mark off the stitches in the right colour.
