Quite frankly, I'm not seeing a problem. No one is forcing anyone to buy any kind of Amazon Book. I purchase all of my books from Kobo, and as far as I know, Kobo is going strong with ebooks & readers!

No one is forcing any writer to put their books on Amazon, if the writers choose to do so that is on them. They know when they sign up that their books will be exclusively on Amazon for a length of time, if they don't like it, don't sign up! This isn't rocket science, just business!

I will say that Amazon is very good at scooping up deceased writers catalogs, which is a good thing otherwise readers wouldn't have access to their books anymore!

Amazon continues to offer what people want, if we grow tired of them, we will stop using them.

So far for ME, Amazon continues to offer good value for my money, when it ceases to do so, I will stop using them.
