The original H2O was IR touch so affected by any mix of:
Dirt on screen
Dirt at bezel; the IR light came out of black edge.
Bezel was held on with double sided tape and if out of place the IR light pipes would not line up with IR LEDs and phototransistors and then faulty touch.
