Well, as they say, different strokes for different folks; I tend (or tended to, past tense) prefer to remake the interiors as I wanted them. Give me a house with good bones but mediocre interior choices and I can do a lot. BUT, I am now also at the point where I no longer want to do that; we're not that young anymore and while we used to do things ourselves, now everything has to be contracted out.
So, yes, I feel ya!
