I use the send to kindle app on my pc and have not had this problem. I have my "save to disk" preferences set to only be the title and then I select any number of books in calibre and save to disk in a single folder and then drag and drop the epub files into send to kindle and they retain their full name. Its super fast and easy, I have not tried sending things by email before
