Around here, it's being recommended that e-bikes and e-scooters not be stored inside your home or attached structure. Evidently too many fires are being linked to battery powered vehicles and even tools.

One item is that quite a few of these fires are related to aftermarket chargers, replacement batteries, etc. which were not certified by UL, CSA, TÜV SÜD, etc.
