I have an unjailbroken KO3, with 5.12.4

I noticed the break methods are different, and i was wondering if the firmware update was possible or even worthwhile , and its not easy to understand which is the best course of action and what's at stake here.

For example, if a firmware update is possible without resorting to Amazon's OTA firmware update, is it safe to get a firmware from a random download link? Not sure.
