You are entitled to your opinion.
I've decades of experience planning offices and setting up computers. Certainly Kaleido 3 23″ monitor might have been worth considering for text only applications 10 years go, though crazy expensive. Now there are good monitor solutions that size. I've older screens that don't come close to the quality of my LG which is like working on paper. The Kaleido 3 is useless for photo editing, and abysmal for rapid scrolling, web pages, video or games. Only good for text applications, comics and paginated newspapers/magazines, text books and about x8 the price of a decent higher resolution zero glare 4K screen.

Feel free to pop in if you are transiting Shannon and have half a day spare.

Edit:
You chopped off the important bit and misunderstand what I wrote about proper monitor use.

A desktop monitor unlike a portable reading device is used in a fixed environment which can be controlled. Ideally the daylight should be controlled with a blind or curtain and the desk at right angles to the window.

A 23″ screen is absolutely not a portable device
.
I have actually taken it once to someone's dining-kitchenette with badly placed window to use on a nearly new laptop. Even then no glare/reflections and after adjusting the brightness the use was like paper. Unlike a portable phone / tablet the brightness only needs adjusted once at a location.

I'd absolutely use mono eink for any portable reading device. I'd only consider "colour" eink as an additional luxury product if I read a lot of comics.
