Not on the original text but on a recent enough translation, yes. Ditto for translations of the Quran, Bible, Buddhist texts, etc. One of my friends is a retired minister and over 80% of his religious texts are in copyright.

Even my recent purchase of a new translation of The Art of War by Sun Tzu, etc. (the translator is quite certain that more than one author was involved) is copyright since this edition is a translation from 2015.
