From the photos, I don't find the color too bad. Of course it's not comparable to paper or to LCD/OLED, but it's not awful either. Personally it would have no value for me, as almost nothing I read has color. No comics, mangas, PDFs, cookbooks etc. But other people might well find it worthwile.
