Called Sony repair depot again today. My new screen arrived but the technician said they had the same dust problem.

Therefore, they said they are going to give me a brand spanking new one (they had 1 in stock) to replace my PRS700.

This took less than 2 weeks to be resolved and my proximity to the repair depot was to my advantage. All in all, it was a positive experience dealing with Sony. Hopefully my new PRS700 will remain dust free.

So the new screen also had dust on it? I believe you mentioned that the next time you bring it in for the same type of repair that they were going to chage you since this isn't a common issue that they are aware of. Does this change their opinion?
