And I don't really see reasons why centralized metadata storage and metadata based search couldn't be made so it can be used regardless of how the book was transfered (Calibre Wireless device, downloaded from OPDS catalog, transfered using any of Cloud Storage options, USB transfer... ) onto KOReader's home folder. There is no logic in still only using Calibre created and transfered metadata JSON file and no logic in having to parse huge JSON file when they have already started using a SQLite database in other places and for other metadata-related reasons.
