Sadly, folder navigation is a relic of the 1980s. Give me a decent search interface any day since it takes a lot fewer clicks/taps to find a book. I used to use folders to manage my ebooks. Multiple authors, series, subtitles, etc. made for a lot of "fun" and learning more than I ever wanted to know about the various flavours of links on multiple OS.

How do you handle an ebook anthology with 28 stories so 28 authors, an editor who is also an author and an editor who is not an author so you can locate the ebook from any of the authors or editors? If you want to find a book that is part of a series? Or an ebook where the title is generic but the subtitle identifies the ebook? Or where the original author's name is still on a series but the books are being credited to other authors?

IMNSHO, one of the biggest improvements to KOReader's UI was adding the ability to search the metadata.calibre file.
