Wow I had no idea this feature existed, I've been editing tags using the text box lol. Oh wow there's even a tags editor in tag browser... useful!

I'm on a mac too, can confirm that I got the menu to pop up when I shift long click on the tags column. I actually think it's a quite useful feature/behavior and does not really need a fix. (though it is inconsistent and a toggle might be necessary eventually)

One solution for triggering the menu too often is to not click in the tags column, though I understand if that isn't possible for their workflow.
