Sigh.

Such a bummer. Finally tried the new Justified:Primeval, last night (premiered two episodes this past Monday), and nope, it's not for me/us. I loved the original Justified and Mr. Wonderful liked it fine, but...not this.

Harkening back to a recent "WAYW" conversation, YUP, throw in one bratty teenage kid (worse, played by Timothy Olyphant's actual daughter, so she's a NEPO)...in 15 minutes, we simply turned it off. And the horribly overdone, ubiquitous trope that the mean prosecutor, who OF COURSE is a woman beats Raylan like he's a dirty rug, as if he hasn't been in the Marshal's for 20+ years...it's just so damned tired.

I may yet, in the next year, get desperate enough to watch it, but seriously, I'd watch Columbo episodes, or my umpteenth pass through the original Perry Masons, before I'll watch this. Olyphant said something in a recent interview, about how all their episodes were written, prior to the strike--lemme tell ya, in this instance, ChatGPT-4 very seriously could have done a better job. I wish they'd used it.

BUMMER!
