No. Anything with raw oysters is off the table. One friend of mine had a couple of raw oysters while on a trip to Florida visiting family and ended up in hospital for weeks while recovering (I think it was a Vibrio vulnificus infection). They were thankful both for recovering and for the extended medical coverage their employers supplied. Admittedly in Australia, you would be more likely to get gastroenteritis from Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
Note to self: remember not to search for medical issues too soon after dinner.
