It would be a nice device if it were remade into a phone. I think it's just the first step of actually making a phone - Onyx knows there's a market for one, especially if Hisense actually has left the game.
The Palma is a prototype unit. And the final version will likely be different.
I also heard from an Onyx representative in the Russian market Onyx telegram group that they're planning to release another smartphone sized ereader later in July. More budget friendly and without the camera.
I will buy it if it ends up being a slightly better A9 with Google Play.
