They have indeed changed, but just very recently in the past 1-3 weeks. You can now buy
Analog and
Asimov's magazine issues in epub directly from Penny Publications. No DRM!

I have subscribed to both in the past few days and am very happily reading the current issue of Analog, a magazine that I first started reading mumble decades ago and which I had to stop subscribing to the print edition due to eyesight issues a decade ago. I have been trying to get both of these magazines on my Kobo since then without success until now.
