By publishing your book through an official channel like Kobo books, Adobe Digital Editions, Apple Books etc, the epub vendor will add DRM normally to an epub typically unless you tell them otherwise.
If you want to sell your own epubs then there really is no drm method you can apply yourself short of encrypting the entire epub (zip) and selling one-time passwords that once received means no drm any longer. It is just not worth it for most self-publishers.
