Here's a rant I haven't seen yet in this thread:
Authors who feel the need…to make every…speech by…any character…seem like they are Christopher Walken…or William Shatner.
Even when the text between the ellipses is far longer than my example, some authors basically turn every paragraph into a single run-on sentence.
