What it says on the cover is "The Complete Short Fiction of Greg Bear
Volume 2." That means there was a Volume 1 and there might be a Volume 3, 4, 5, etc.
My daughter gave me "The Complete Calvin and Hobbes" in four volumes a few years ago. Should I expect each volume to have all the Calvin and Hobbes comic strips?
And if I bought a single volume on eBay, should I expect that volume to be complete? Book 3 of the hardback version of "The Complete Calvin and Hobbes" is being sold separately on eBay...

Would you expect that single volume to have all of the Calvin and Hobbe strips?
(Maybe you're just trying to pull my leg. My "humor" bone doesn't always work too well these days.)
