There's an alarm going of somewhere nearby. It's a quick beeping. I often hear it, but usually no more than twice during the evening and it beep for a short period of time.
Now it's going off for a long time, with short breaks once in a while. It isn't even loud, but it's one of the sounds that once you hear it you can't ignore it.
Due to the predicted stormy weather I was going to wear my earplugs tonight, so it won't be much of a problem. But hopefully they'll fix it tomorrow.
