I'm sitting in my bedroom and I'm amazed how quiet it is on a Saturday night, in June, with our current weather. Normally you would hear the (soft) thumping of music played in one of the cafés or restaurants One of the nearby restaurants has their back door open and you can hear people talking and the clinking of plates, glasses and cutlery. You can smell at least one barbecue and hear neighbours sitting in their garden or on their balcony chatting, maybe having a small party.

But not tonight. It's quiet. I think everyone is just fed up with the weather. Today was warm (for Dutch standards) and it was very sweaty, despite low humidity and good air quality. Tomorrow it will be at least 32℃. However, on Monday daytime temperatures will be around 22℃, which is cooler than the expected temperature at midnight. I think everyone is just waiting for Monday. It's too warm and tiring to move, let alone have fun.
