It is, indeed, grand. I lived here for IDK-how-many years, without realizing just how extraordinary it truly is, until I had family come out, that just "hadda" see it. I contacted a pilot friend, arranged to license a plane for however-long, and off we went. I didn't expect to be as gobsmacked as I was--but in truth, seeing it from the ground is just...nothing, nothing at all, compared to seeing it from the air. It is freaking remarkable. It should not be filled, via trebuchet or any other method, with crappy people, cars, or anything else. It's...just
amazing. Truly.
