Oddly the plugin does work for me under Windows 11, MacOS Ventura 13.4 and 3 flavours of Linux (the MacOS and Linux are in VMs). Did you create the custom columns with the correct formats and names? Word count and page count need to be integer while the other custom columns need to be floating point. All spelled out in the fine documentation located at Count Pages.
