I am about half way through The Bear and the Serpent by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It’s the second book of the “Echoes of the Fall” trilogy. Book1 The Tiger and the Wolf’ was a brilliant introduction to a world of Shapeshifters technologically living in an early Iron Age civilization. Book 2 continues the stories of the remarkable characters we meet in the previous volume. The plotting is quite clever and the various story arcs are well integrated.
