StandardEbooks. They have all sorts of nicely formatted public domain books for free download.
Now that I have written 'StandardEbooks' a certain user will come along to helpfully explain to me that their formatting is in fact not good and he knows more than what my lying eyes tell me. It's part of the fun of the board.
