I live in the city center, if it's busy on a Saturday and they can't drive up to the front of our house I'm SOL if DHL is delivering (it isn't allowed on weekdays either, but it's quieter so they just do it). If they are on the other side of the city center I'm also SOL; it can easily take half an hour by car to get from one end of the city center to the other, because it's pedestrianized and you almost have to exit the city to get to the other side of the center. If it's delivered when our store's not open it's often a problem.

That said the delivery man of PostNL knows we live over the shop, so he always delivers. He once told me he doesn't do deliveries before 10am in the city center, since he knows a lot of stores are still closed. He's been our regular delivery man for over a year now. So he'll probably be replace any day now with someone new who doesn't know the ins and outs of the city center and his/her customers.
