My understanding is that the 'right' approach once you find a jailbreak bug is to report it to amazon - this is usually rewarded with a bug bounty, and then once a new firmware is released, then make the bug public here for the community to take advantage of.
The alternative would be to post it here, and try to stir up fanfare and maybe get a bit of donations from Paypal or Patreon? Amazon would close it just as fast.
Unfortunately, the payout amount was far less than I expected, so I am asking if there are historical examples.
I suppose there are malicious use-cases, like buying a crate of refurbished kindles, replacing the telemetry address with my servers, and donating them to Goodwill, but that's outside the scope of this forum -- and, I can't think of a straightforward way to profit .
